At SkyFire Arts, we believe that Ecological Awareness & Renewable Energy are the keys to a beautiful future for all humankind. To promote this perspective & the practices associated with it, we create presentations & performances around the globe; we have been to four continents & both coasts of the US. In most of these shows, our performers wear high voltage protective suits to dance with real electricity. Giant Tesla coils are used to produce 10 foot long arcs that are 1 million volts strong and 5000 degrees Fahrenheit, over half
as hot as the surface of the sun.

Beyond offering the thrilling nature of this spectacular technology, SkyFire Arts makes a powerful experience truly transformative by incorporating dramatic storytelling. Our Team

We are a dedicated team of professionals with world-wide entertainment experience and a belief in the power of the arts to influence positive change. 

Michael Ravenwood, Creative Director & CEO

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Michael Ravenwood moved to the Philippines and Singapore before coming to live in California.  He began training in martial arts at the age of ten and, after acquiring a degree in psychology with honors, has since become an international performance artist, dance-meditation instructor and event producer. He is owner and creative director of SkyFire Arts.

AnJa Ravenwood, Admin Director

AnJa was born in London, moved to North Carolina early in life and has been living in the San Diego area since the age of 18. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Business Management degree. A pioneer in the tribal fusion of fire & belly dance, she has performed internationally while operating her own website, online store and performance company.

Johanna Hoffman, Production Manager

Johanna’s career in event production and operations management is driven by a reverence for the arts and their unique ability to influence social change. Since 2012, she has worked both locally and nationally with organizations, event companies, and festivals to create experiences that have a lasting positive impact on the audience and the world. She joins the SkyFire Arts team to execute business operations in a way that maximizes effectiveness in realizing our vision.

Kristen Schwersensky, Production Manager

Kristen began her career with SkyFire Arts after 11 years of experience in business development, managing operations & working directly with high-end clients. Quickly gaining vital experience in the entertainment space, she established herself as a respected team member veritably overnight. Kristen is known by all in the company for her dedication, management skills, and client relations expertise.

Michelle LaVon, Associate Producer

Professional Dancer, Actress, Choreographer, Producer, Director, Writer and International Cirque Performer. She has appeared on the big and small screen for 20th Century Fox, WB, MTV, Telemundo, and History Channel among others. She has appeared in over 30 videos and films as well as thousands of live performances.
