Teacher Bio

Michael Ravenwood was born in Tokyo, Japan and began studying Martial Arts & Meditation over 35 years ago. More than 25 years ago, he acquired an honors degree in Psychology while taking courses in Quantum Physics, Mind-Body Medicine & wisdom traditions from around the world. Over 15 years ago, Michael discovered his true passion by blending Storytelling, Martial Training & a Passion for Dance through Fire Performance.

Since then, he has become an International Cirque Performer, Event Producer, Business Owner, Speaker & Personal Empowerment Facilitator. As CEO & Creative Director of his performing arts company SkyFire Arts, Michael handles business & writes poetic pieces that convey life affirming inspiration with pointed humor. As one of its Performers, he wears a high voltage protective suit to wield 10 foot arcs of electricity from a massive Tesla coil.

He has been teaching the Art of Personal Empowerment & Fire Dance at Festivals, Cirque Schools, Dance Studios, and Privately for over 15 years. Michael became a certified Firewalking Instructor in 2017 and, in 2019, he offered an hour-long Talks at Google presentation at their LA HQ. His lifelong commitment is to empower people to realize their highest potential through the play of flow arts & sciences.
