New SkyFire Arts Sizzle Reel

We are very excited to launch our new Sizzle Reel featuring highlight from our Fire and Tesla Lightning performances around the world!

The Tesla coil performances featured are Storm Rider solo & duet, Storm Bringer & our newest trio, Maelstrom. The Fire performances featured are from our Tantric Alchemy Fire Ensemble. The international shows included were filmed at Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul, S. Korea; Autódromo Interlagos in São Paulo, Brazil; & the Calgary Stampede Grandstand in Alberta, Canada.

The domestic shows included were at The Playboy Mansion for their annual Halloween party, LA Center Studios for Maxim Magazine's Halloween, JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa for the Tourlink convention, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Electric Daisy Carnival, and 50 stories high on the rooftop of the W Hotel in Miami, FL for a private New Years Eve Celebration. 

Collaboration w/ David Starfire for 'Jungle' Music Video

Today David Starfire is releasing his new EP, Primal, and we are excited to have collaborated with him to create this electrifying video for his track "Jungle".  The album features collaborations with SOOHAN, Patrick D, and Justin Terranova. It is an exploration in mixing voices and sounds from around the world including Tuva, Bulgaria, South East Asia, Africa, Australia, and Native American percussion. The beautiful artwork was created by DigiTrip aka Beau Davidson.

SkyFire Arts performed with David Starfire this year at Lucidity Festival & Pink Heart's Burning Man fundraiser, leading to this music video collaboration. We are proud to feature David's music in our shows, as his powerful grooves & positive vibes are a perfect fit for the mythology of our performances. It's wonderful to create with someone who is both open hearted and incredibly talented, and we look forward to working with him more as time flows on...

Wow, what an amazing weekend we had at EDC Vegas this year!! We performed one of our new shows, Maelstrom, which features 3 masterful lightning performers weaving together our high voltage entertainment with theatrical storytelling. We customized this show to speak to Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect (or PLUR), a set of principles associated with rave culture.

SkyFire Arts at Sea World May 2018

Our team had a blast at this one! The Electric Eel Roller Coaster at SeaWorld San Diego opened this July 2018, and our Tesla coil lightning performance launched it at a VIP Grand Opening Event! This was the tallest, fastest roller coaster in the park’s history and in the entire San Diego area. We were so excited to bring our artistry and message to this audience! 

Check out some shots from our recent show at Sea World San Diego. Our lightning show triggered the ignition of their new Electric Eel Roller coaster at their VIP Grand Opening Gala. Jim Saey, owner of Premier Rides who built the coaster,  said that this was BY FAR the best opening ceremony of a ride he’s ever attended. ❤️⚡️

We’re back at EDC Las Vegas this year with an epic Trio Lightning Dancing and Throwing show.

Our performers dance with lightning generated by a giant Tesla coil. The arcs that they manipulate are 5000 degrees Fahrenheit, half as hot as the surface of the sun.

Huge thank you to Insomniac for bringing us here. They have put together yet another extraordinary festival, and are expecting 400,000 attendees this weekend.

SkyFire Arts Academy

Our Academy classes teach the Art of Flow as it relates to movement arts, like fire dancing, and to our every day lives. Facilitator, Michael Ravenwood, pulls from his many fields of study including meditation, movement, psychology, and quantum physics to explore how discoveries in these fields can inform how we find balance and joy.

Firewalking: a Journey of Transformation & Self Discovery

I’m ECSTATIC to report that I’ve had the most incredible, transformative experience of my life and am wanting to share some of the highlights with you! I recently graduated from a Firewalking Instructor Training (aka FIT), where I received my official certification from Master Firewalking Instructors Kevin Axtell & Tolly Burkan. Tolly is Kevin’s mentor & the man who taught Firewalking to Tony Robbins himself. They are both so humble, funny & wise… what an honor and a pleasure it was!!!

Throughout my life, I’ve overcome tremendous difficulties in order to become a truly happy person. At 19 years old, I had a sudden awakening which shattered my misery and put me on a journey of self discovery. Since then, I’ve spent years studying a multitude of paths of personal development on the road to this level of personal satisfaction.

My explorations in excellence have included training in Meditation, Kung Fu, Yoga, Ninjitsu, Vipassana, Flow Arts, Mind-Body Medicine, Psychology & even practical applications of Quantum Physics. The amazing thing is that the FIT truly tied it all together for me. It focused on so many concepts which are at the heart of those practices, and the lessons felt totally true to my experience of life.

Not only was I shown the ways to build & tend a fire to safely conduct a Firewalk, but we were taught how to facilitate Glasswalking, a Trust Fall, Arrow, Board & Brick Breaking, Rebar Bending & (drum roll please…) how to Put a 5” needle through your hand… without bleeding or crying ; )

Quite naturally, we had to participate in all of these activities before being certified to teach them, and the course taught me so many lessons truly demonstrating how EVERYTHING holding us back from achieving the life we want for ourselves is really in our minds. My main takeaways include the incredible power of:

• Arriving early for everything

• Paying full & complete attention to the moment

• Staying present to the internal feelings arising when making choices

• How there is time for everything (fast/slow, pleasure/challenge, giving/receiving)

• How to stay emotionally aware no matter what the external environment is like

• Being TOTALLY ok that I’ll never figure it out… because that IS figuring it out

It’s always been my greatest wish to share the wisdom I was taught on my journey and open a path for others to experience the love I have in my heart for this life. This training has given me innumerable tools for sharing my ecstatic joy with others. I’m so excited to empower people to perform these inconceivable exercises, as I believe that it takes the willingness to face fear and darkness to truly find love and walk in the light.

What’s the next step?!? I’m going to include the essence of this fantastic material in my SkyFire Arts Academy classes!!! I’m starting to teach again January 21 with a 3 hour Intro Workshop. Then, starting Feb 5th, I’m teaching Phase One, which is a 6 Week Series every Monday night 7:30-9:30. I’m holding these events at the most amazing holistic health & wellness center I know of… The Station Colab! The ultimate goal is to offer people who are committed to their personal development path the chance to conquer a primal fear… and dance with lightning using Tesla coils!

SkyFire Arts at Maxim Halloween

The SkyFire Arts Team electrified this year’s Maxim Halloween at LA Center Studios!

As part of the party’s alien invasion scene, our lightning performers threw 10ft arcs of electricity amidst crashed flaming vehicles and with video projections of space crafts soaring through the air.

SkyFire Arts Director, Michael Ravenwood, in addition to teaching several Flowshops,  shared his inspiring story of a sudden, unexpected awakening experience. In this video he shares the moment of his rebirth and how the perspective its given him would completely transform the modern world. He tells of how, through a remarkable “coincidence”, he came to be among the only people in the world to dance with real, high voltage electricity. Most importantly, he provides scientific reference for a picture of reality which spiritual teachers have been describing for thousands of years, and offers a path for anyone in the audience to discover the ultimate truth of life for themselves. Pyrotrainia is a fire artist empowerment training retreat. This year we celebrated their 10th annual event. Attendees experienced the transformational power of firewalking, fire dancing, board-breaking, juggling, intention setting, group activities, and so much more. It was a profound experience and attendees learned how to cultivate their inner fire while refining their skills in dancing with fire.
